On cloudy days the UltraPipe can be deployed. With pressure the water can be pumped through an ultrafiltration membrane and
disinfects independently of the weather.
But due to its short lifetime of at most one year, the membrane has to be
renewed regularly.
Because of this the midsection of the ultrafiltration membrane can be isolated to cause as low costs as possible for the yearly change. It is the only part of the UltraPipe that has to start a new production, the rest consists of DIN standard parts.
